"The Late Great Planet Earth" by Hal Lindsey

Is it wrong to read to just ridicule what you are reading?

Honestly, I do believe it is wrong. I think an honest and thorough reading is the respect each person deserves as part of their creative and expressive nature. It does not mean that we won't find that expression ridiculous, but that should not be our motive--it undermines our nature to curiously understand our world and ourselves. If ridicule is our presupposition in approaching another person's textuality (whether literally a written work or simply the weaving of one's being with the world), then we ridicule our nature and our constraints.

Not to give you a guilt trip or anything...
